Alternanthera reineckii ‘Mini’ is an exquisite relatively new dwarf variant of the well-known Alternanthera reineckii. It is also known under the name A. reineckii “rosaefolia minor”. This plant has a compact significantly slower growth habit, which makes it especially suitable for small tanks. By trimming appropriately you can create a nice, around 5 cm high carpet in purple-red to brownish red, or a compact bush in the fore- or middle ground. This plant needs lots of light and the addition of CO2.
